REDEFINING CRAFTSMANSHIP
THE ART BEHIND THE CRAFT
Behind every piece, every creation, lies an artisanal process crafted with meticulous attention to detail. Each component is shaped by artisans with a long-standing tradition in their craft, a history passed down from generation to generation.
At PARIS/64, we champion high craftsmanship, where history and experience play a vital role in the creation of all our pieces.
In the pursuit of this excellence, we have refined our processes, understanding them as part of continuous improvement.
We take great care in every step, from selecting the finest raw materials, with our leathers sourced ethically and responsibly, to improving our facilities and the working conditions in our factory.
Equally important is the care of our artisans, with whom we work hand in hand in the creation of our bags. We advocate for continuous training in the artisanal techniques involved in crafting our designs.
Our commitment to sustainability goes much further. It is a commitment to improvement and excellence, toward our environment and within our industry.
We are redefining craftsmanship.
ILLUECA
Illueca is a town located in Aragón, Spain, with a long tradition in leather craftsmanship, particularly in shoemaking.
Following the economic crisis and the constant changes in our industry, the town experienced a significant decline in activity and, consequently, in the lives of the artisans who depended on it for their livelihood.
In 2024, we decided to invest in creating our own factory in Illueca, not only because of its history and tradition, but also to support a local production model, thereby reducing our environmental impact.
OUR PROCESS
PATTERN MAKING
Pattern making is the first and most important step in the creation of our bags. It is the engineering phase where every component of the product, including the body, pockets, handles, and lining, is designed and defined with millimetric precision. It involves creating master templates with exact measurements that will be used to cut the leather or other materials for each piece. This absolute precision ensures that all components fit perfectly and lays the foundation for the bag’s shape, functionality, and impeccable quality.
CUTTING
After pattern making, the Cutting phase begins. This process requires the highest level of skill to transfer the master templates onto the leather or chosen material. Here, the artisan carefully selects the best part of the material, optimizing its use and avoiding any imperfections, ensuring that each piece maintains the millimetric precision of the pattern.
THINNED AND LAYERED
The Thinned and Layered process is essential for optimizing the leather or chosen material.
Through Layering, we adjust the thickness of each piece to provide structural balance and the strength required. Through Thinning, we refine the edges of each component before stitching. This ensures that the final seams are smooth and precise, contributing to the bag’s elegant finish and premium quality.
PAINTING
All pieces, after going through previous processes, are sealed and the pores are closed to protect and preserve the leather.
Once sealed, they are painted in the selected shades, achieving a flawless finish.
ASSEMBLY
The assembly process begins by carefully joining each piece with precision. Sometimes templates are used to ensure that every detail is measured to the millimeter.
Next, the pieces are stitched and adjusted with great care. Step by step, the bag takes on the structure of the original design.
QUALITY CONTROL
During this process, each piece undergoes a rigorous inspection to ensure it meets the highest standards.
The leather or fabric is checked for imperfections, and all zippers and hardware are tested to ensure perfect functionality. Each bag is cleaned and carefully checked to maintain the desired final finish.
Finally, the labels are applied, and the bag is prepared in its corresponding box and packaging, ready for delivery.
